We landed in Seattle a day into the US Government shutdown, not knowing how this would effect our travel plans. If anything, we got through customs within 15 minutes and despite a minor luggage mishap, things were looking good. Our Capitol Hill Airbnb apartment turned out to be just as sweet as the pictures, there was pumpkin flavoured everything in the supermarket, and it was only October 3rd. God Bless America.
